[Driving up I10 to Traverse, a freakish animal with a fox’s tail scampers squirrel-like across the freeway]

Our Sister: Oy! What in God’s name was that? A fox?

We: A squirrel?

OS: Can foxes get that small?

We: Can squirrels get that large?

OS: Maybe it’s both.

We: A Sqox?

OS: Fuirrel?

We: The naming convention's "First syllable male; second, female." Like, the offspring of a male lion and a female tiger is a Liger; male tiger, female lion is a Tigon— I don’t think a female squirrel could birth a thing that big; it’d have to be a male squirrel and female fox—Sqox.
