where to recycle electronics

Sunday, December 21, 2008

I was having a terrible time trying to get rid of some broken monitors, and search queries, state waste-disposal websites, and random folks on the street weren't much help.

Finally, I stumbled on earth911.com, where you can enter your area code and what you want to recycle, and it'll display a list of nearby places that take it.

Looks like most centers around here charge $10 for taking a monitor off your hands--but hey, at least it's not wasting space around the apartment.
