"lose" or "loose"

Is it just me, or have a lot of people been misspelling "lose" as "loose" laately?

"loose" is that thing your skin gets when you're old: "lose" is when what you got gets gone

Another one that bothers me is "then". People use it as "sooner then later." Totally bugs me. It's "sooner THAN later."

The bizarre thing is that, technically, they're not wrong: "sooner" precedes "later"
